Join us for an intimate and powerful conversation with a group of NYC-based female artists from the Middle East pushing the boundaries of what it means to be artists and women living between two very different worlds. Through their artwork, these extraordinary women are both uncovering their deepest truths and engaging with issues of identity, culture and sovereignty. Moderated by Brooklyn-based writer, musician and filmmaker Deniz Ataman, our panel will explore a set of topics rarely explored in public circles from the perspectives of 4 very unique women - Maha Alasaker, Kuwaiti photographer and visual artist, Nada Faris, Kuwaiti writer and performance poet, Razan Al Sarraf Kuwaiti visual artist and Samaher Bayazeed, Saudi Arabian designer and founder of Everyday Silver, ethically sourced everyday wear.
